    About this opportunity:St Andrew's First Aid is Scotland's leading first aid training provider. Their mission is to raise awareness of the importance of first aid skills through event cover, training courses and first aid education in schools and communities.

    Being a Community Facilitator is all about delivering a variety of lifesaving first aid skills in community engagement workshops and projects, within local communities, and primary and secondary schools. A lot of these projects involve talking about and demonstrating the basics of first aid to community groups that can include children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

    In this role you can promote first aid awareness and help to achieve St Andrew's First Aid's mission to create a nation of lifesavers.

    Training provided:Training is provided including Standard Event First Aid Certificate, Moving and Handling Principles, Introduction to Child Protection, Community Facilitation Module
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Expenses are paid by bank transfer at public transport rates.

    Experience required:St Andrew's First Aid are looking for volunteers who are interested in supporting first aid delivery in their local area. Volunteers should be able to work as part of a team and have good communication skills, excellent organisation and planning skills, and a positive attitude, and be flexible and adaptable to needs of charity. Experience of public speak and a basic understanding of first aid would be appreciated.
